Heuer Carrera Chronographs 1963-1985
In the early 1960s, Heuer decided to focus their creative energy on chronographs and created one of the most iconic examples ever: the Carrera. The clean design of the dial along with the use of sunken registers set the Carrera apart from the timepieces of its era, giving the chronograph a modern look that was highly legible. This book chronicles this vital period of the Carrera's legacy, with beautiful hi-res pictures of over 75 different dial variations — 50 of which are of the first generation 1960s models. The hardcover book showcases those early groundbreaking references along with famous examples like the "Belgian Air Force" in 1970, 18-carat gold 1158 models, and "logo" dials like the incredibly rare Indianapolis Motor Speedway 3147. Updated in April of this year, the book is printed on thick, premium luster paper and also contains tons of valuable data for Carrera collectors like intro dates, serial ranges, and parts and movement information on the rarest examples.
