Issey Miyake 1/6 Mechanical Watch
The Issey Miyake Watch project allows different designers to create a timepiece using the design language of their choosing. The latest example was created by Nao Tamura, the first female tapped by the project, and is named the "1/6" due to the watch's hand movement of six beats per second. Tamura was also influenced by traditional measuring tools like beakers and glasses in an attempt to look back at a time before digital measurements. The dial features a long second hand that sweeps over the outer markers from 12 to 6 o'clock and inner fine markers, while the case has a crown at 6 o'clock. Each one is powered by rock solid mechanical NH35 hand-wound movement. Choose from the grey stainless steel case with a white face and a black leather strap, or the black PVD coated case with black face and black Milanese bracelet.
