Sunspel Riviera Polo
Daniel Craig's direct hand in shaping the wardrobe for James Bond has been well documented, and his earliest influence on the modern Bond style is reflected in the Sunspel Riviera polo. Worn by Craig in the early moments of Casino Royale while in the Bahamas, the polo was hand-selected for the film after being pulled from Sunspel's archives and altered to a more modern silhouette. Originally designed by the owners of Sunspel in the 1950s to be worn in the heat of the French Riviera, the mesh fabric was custom developed to provide the maximum amount of cooling to the wearer. Almost an oversized piqué, the fabric is truly unique and now instantly recognizable thanks to Bond. It's cut short and comfortably trim, and is always meant to be worn untucked. Available in black, white, and navy (as worn in Casino Royale), and now in a Limited Edition Melange Grey, the same color as the Sunspel T-shirt Craig wears as 007 in the same film. Originally meant to be released in conjunction with No Time to Die, the Limited Edition colorway will most likely be gone before the movie hits theaters in November.
